Following last months awesome performance to a packed house at the Avalanche and fresh off a recent trip to Hawaii to reconnect with friends and family, Anela Kahiamoe returns to the Avalanche this Thursday Feb 23 with his fantastic band "The Experimenters", featuring some of the finest musicians in our region.
Since relocating from Hawaii some 8 years ago, Anela has firmly established himself in our community with his in-demand elite musicianship and his wow factor when it comes to entertaining an audience. Anela's 35 years in the Honolulu music scene shines through at every performance with transfixed audience engagement complimented by incredible skill on all Guitars, Ukulele and Vocals.
"The Experimenters" includes 5 time CCMA nominated Pedal Steel musician, Evan Ehgoetz, a veteran of the Nashville music scene and a professional touring artist. While best known as a country music instrument, be amazed at Ehgoetz' ability to blend the sweet sound of the steel pedal into a Blues, Rock or Jazz tune. This not so common instrument contributes a beautiful and unique sound to the Experimenters band.
On keyboard and vocals is well known local professional Ralph Barrat. One of the Valleys most versatile musicians Barrat's vocals are reminiscent of Buble' and Sinatra and are complimented by skillful and tasteful musicianship on the keyboard.
First call local musician Grahame Edwards on stand up and electric Bass, brings a lifetime of skill to the band with rock solid timing and expertise. Edwards is one of the Valleys busiest musicians and contributes greatly to the local music scene with his high skills and love of performing.
Rounding out a solid rhythm section on drums is local musician Rob Peterson
Special guest youth vocalist Ryan Castle will compliment the evening.
